If you didn't watch SNL tonight, you must find the newest Andy Samberg piece. It may not be Lazy Sunday, but it's better than Dick in a Box. I'm sure it'll go widely viral, so it shouldn't be that difficult. I'll update this post as soon a there's a YouTube or other stable link. Just awesome.
UPDATE: Here it is!
The Wife and I got through episode 11 of Flight of the Conchords tonight. Just plain funny. Really, if you have On Demand, watch it. If you have Netflix, I'm sure the DVD set will be out soon, if it isn't already. Queueueueueue it up. Only one more episode to go. That makes us sad.
On the brighter side, Curb Your Enthusiasm has started again. We've only seen the first one, but it was great, as usual. "He knowingly fed us penis!"
The Wife heard at school that last Monday's episode of Two and a Half Men was really offensive. Her first thought was "and how is that any different?" So we cranked the DVR up and watched it. Yes, we watch that show. I know it's much-maligned, but we find that even within the clichéd confines of the standard sitcom nowadays, there are always enough really good one-liners and outrageous situations that we laugh enough to make it worth the groaners. Sure enough, to us it was like any other episode. Some really funny shit, and some groaners.
Ugly Betty had a bone-chilling ending. When the reality intruded on the fantasy, we were just stunned. Maybe we should have seen it coming, but damn. We both just turned and looked at each other, and I said "That was very well done." And Wife said "Yes, yes it was." She was getting a little emotional. Me, not so much. The room was just a little dusty though. And my contacts were getting dry. And, um, my allergies were acting up? Fuck you, I wasn't choked up at all.
That's it, so far. The DVR is still loaded though. Intermittent updates to follow.
For completely insane TV blogging, see Toast. I don't know how he and Mrs. Toast do it. But they watch pretty much everything.
